The BWMC is pleased to announce the appointment of Janice Beninger as Music Director of the choir. Janice comes to us with significant choral experience and we look forward to working and learning with her as we continue to grow and evolve.

BWMC says goodbye to Lois Howell, Accompanist.

Lois Howell performed at her farewell concert, as accompanist for the BWMC and now retires from the choir. At this evenings concert Lois was presented with a plaque and a bouquet of flowers. The Choir's rendition of The Rose was dedicated to her!

The choirs wishes to express their sincere thanks to Lois for her four years of dedication and wish her well in her retirement.


Oct 6, 2008

30 members of the Choir travelled to San Francisco to sing backup for Jon Langford. Jon and the Choir performed at the Swedish American Club/Cafe Du Nord on Oct 3, at the Hardly Strickly Bluegrass Festival on Oct 5. While at the Festival, the boys joined Elvis Costello on stage for his encore. They sang the Choir to Crimson Tide. Photos taken are available for viewing on the SPECIAL PROJECTS page


Sept 22, 2008

The Choir returned from a successful Tour to the US. The concerts in Wenham, Massachusetts and Scranton, Pennsylvania were a great success. Carnegie was a highlight for many choristers.


July 14, 2008

35 members of the Choir travelled to Chicago to sing backup for Jon Langford. Jon and the Choir performed at the Hideout on July 11, at the Chicago Folk & Roots Festival on Sept 12. Photos taken are available for viewing on the SPECIAL PROJECTS page

Plans are under way for a Choir tour to Gloucester, Massachusetts, New York City and Scranton, Pennsylvania. While in New York City the Choir will take part in a 400 voice concert at Carnegie Hall.

The Executive of the Burlington Welsh Male Choir is please to announce that the Choir has been invited to partake in a 400 Voice concert on Sept 16, 2008 at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Plans are currently under way for a tour to the United States around this event.

25 members of the Choir travelled to Chicago to sing backup for Jon Langford, a friend of our president Julian Murray.  Jon and the Choir performed at the Hideout on Sept 14, at the Chicago Celtic Fest on Sept 15 and Martyr's Restaurant and Pub on Sept 16. The Choir successfully completed their tour of UK, culminating with the 20th Festival of Male Choirs at the Royal Albert Hall in London. They performed two concerts in South Wales. Photos are available for viewing on the TOURS page
